In addition to the Click&Meet services at the Campus Service Center, contact persons are, of course, still available by phone and e-mail.
Thesis and Document Submission outside the office hours
If the thesis submission is not available in person at the examination offices, in the Campus Welcome Center or to the information and security service office of the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg (in building 09) we prefer to to receive all study documents, thesis and dissertation via post.
Please address it clearly to the responsible department (a.e. examination office in your faculty)
If it is not possible for you to submit your study documents, thesis, and dissertation via post, it will be possible to submit them in the red post box in front of building 09. All documents will be forwarded to the relevant department by internal post.

Counselling offered in cooperation with the Magdeburg Chamber of Skilled Crafts - consulting of potential drop-outs
Anyone who is thinking about dropping out of university is by no means in a hopeless situation, but has the best prerequisites for starting vocational training. The Chamber of Skilled Crafts in Magdeburg (Handwerkskammer Magdeburg) advises those who doubt their studies about their career opportunities in the skilled crafts.

The appointments will be held at Otto-von-Guericke-University, Universitätsplatz 2, 39106 Magdeburg in Bld. 01 - Atrium. Please register in advance and for those who do not wish to be advised in person, we will continue to offer the consultation hours in parallel by telephone:

New service at the Campus Welcome Center: Apostilles and Legalizations directly on campus
On November 3rd, 2025, at the Campus Welcome Center (CWC)
Students and graduates who need documents for international purposes can obtain an apostille or legalization directly on site at the CWC on November 3, 2025—without having to make an additional trip to the other offices!
In cooperation with the State Administration Office of Saxony-Anhalt, the CWC is offering this special service for the first time:
When? Monday, 03. November 2025
09:00 a.m. – 12 noon and 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Where? Campus Welcome Center (Building 1), information desk in the atrium
No appointment is required.
What is an apostille or legalization?
An apostille is a form of certification in international document exchange. It is required if you need to present your documents (e.g., diplomas or enrollment certificates) abroad, for example, for job applications, visas, or recognition procedures.
An information brochure with all the details can be found on the website of the State Administration Office.
What do you need to bring with you?
Depending on the document, please bring the following:
For an apostille for an OVGU degree certificate:
– Original degree certificate
– Valid passport or identity card
For an apostille for an official OVGU certificate (e.g., certificate of enrollment (with stamp and signature)):
